A Christmas Light Wonderland: Holidays at the Municipality of Carmen (Agusan del Norte)

IMG_2472

The Holiday Season is finally here, and this means that the municipal town hall of Carmen, Agusan del Norte will be literally LIT again.

Every year, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Carmen decorate their grandiose town hall with lots of Christmas lights – creating a Christmas Wonderland which is a great place for sightseeing and taking pictures. No entrance fee is necessary – it is free for all.

Carmen’s Municipal Town Hall is easy to locate because you can pass by it through the main road. Travelers who are riding buses bound for Butuan City will not miss this sight.

However, aside from picture-taking and strolling, there’s nothing much you can do around here. There are however food shops and barbecue stalls in front of their town hall where hungry visitors can get food.

Note: Pictures in this post were taken last year (2016), the lighting design might have changes this year, so please don’t expect the exact same sight if ever you are planning to visit this year (or on the next few years).
